It Doesn't Get Easier. You Just Get Better.

Right now I should be studying for an accounting quiz. My face should be glued to my textbook and I should be furiously writing away ratios, definitions, and drawing up an overwhelming number of motherfucking t-accounts (I love accounting I swear). And yet, I am here. I wouldn't necessarily classify this as procrastinating. Maybe if I spin this and call it a much needed mental health break, I'll convince myself I am not wasting precious time. Ha! But I felt the need to address this pressing issue. It's October and broke college students know what the means: FINANCIAL AID APPLICATION SEASON! You get a grant! You get a grant! Everybody gets a graaaaaaant...yeah, right. It's definitely more along the lines of "You get a loan! You get a loan! Everybody gets crippling debt!" First Days, Rude Awakenings, and First Impressions

Picture this: the first day of school, community college specifically, and I take my seat in a semi-modern classroom in a dingy, old, and a tad odor some business building in dire need of an upgrade. It was the first day of my accounting course, something that I was definitely not looking forward to but alas it was a requirement for my Business Administration A.A., and when I didn't think my day could get any more gratingly mundane and dreadful, our professor decided to drop some harsh atomic truth bombs our way.  "You don't know what it means to value your education. What do you really  know about the education system? Do you even know what you want to do with your major?" Immediately I knew I made a huge  mistake enrolling in this class...or at least, that's what I thought. The majority of us, if not all, were sitting there stunned.
